Other hotels on the south side, along the Whyte Avenue within reasonable distance of the University (25-minute walk), are the Varscona and the Metterra. More hotels can be found in downtown Edmonton, on the other (north) side of the North Saskatchewan River. Besides these, one may consider the HI Hostel.
