Please note: the Edmonton Transit Service (buses and LRT) operate on a 20-minute schedule on weekends. Plan your trips to campus and the airport accordingly!

From the airport (YEG):

There are several options for making your way into Edmonton after arriving at the airport (approximately 20km south of the city). These are the bus, the shuttle, or a taxi.

The 747 bus costs $5 (exact change, or 2 transit tickets) and will bring you to the Century Park transit station, where both the Metro (NAIT) and Capital (Clareview) LRT (subway) lines can then take you to the University Transit Centre (for Campus Tower, or other hotels on the south side of the North Saskatchewan River where the University North Campus is located) or to Central Station (for hotels in downtown Edmonton, on the other (north) side of the North Saskatchewan River). Separate tickets are required for the LRT ride. Campus Tower is just a few minutes’s walk from the LRT stations. A bus departs the airport hourly, though at varying times. Please check the schedule.

Transit tickets can be purchased at the airport or at transit stations ($3.25 each), or a $3.25 cash fare (exact change) is required. Day passes and ticket books are also available. Please see the links below for further details.

Transit trips (from the airport and within the city) can also be planned using the Edmonton Transit website (https://www.edmonton.ca/edmonton-transit-system-ets.aspx) or Google Maps. For more information on transit fares, visit the Edmonton Transit website.

With the SkyShuttle, the closest stop to Campus Tower is HUB Mall South (next door to the University Transit Centre).

When arriving in Edmonton, SkyShuttle rides may be booked at the kiosk at arrivals, but to picked up when leaving Edmonton, rides must be pre-booked for a specific location, either by phone or online. A shuttle departs the airport every 60 minutes on the hour. Tickets are $18. Please see the links below for more information.
